This 2020 Ferrari 488 PISTA Spider finished in the beautiful Electrico Blue complimented with Grigio Titanio/Nero Stripes came into the studio directly from the Dealership for our New Car Protection Services including Paint Protection Film (Clear Bra). When you purchase a vehicle that costs over half a million dollars, protecting the exterior paintwork and keeping it in showroom condition is extremely important. The preservation of the finish, and ultimately the value of the vehicle is priceless.

The goal for this client was Ultimate Protection for their new vehicle and that's exactly the package we designed, specifically tailored to their needs and planned use for the vehicle. As this vehicle would be driven across all of South Florida to visit many Car Shows, Events, and Rally's we came up with a solution that would protect all the vulnerable areas of the vehicle. Our client decided on our Drivers/Track Package Paint Protection Film Package, with some additions such as Full Rear Quarter Panels, Rear Bumper, and Rear Carbon Diffuser.

 The  Drivers Protection Package is our most popular package which protects all of the high impact areas on a car. By adding the rocker panels and rear wheel impact areas the vehicle is now covered from rocks and rubber that may be thrown up by its own tires during a spirited driving session or track day. This package is tailored for sports/exotic car protection. This package gives the enthusiast a worry-free driving experience on the road or on the track.

As every project here at Naples Auto Armour, it starts off with a thorough prep wash removing any contamination like iron fallout, tree sap, and rubber to ensure a clean slate for us to start our protection process. The vehicle is then pulled into our studio, and onto our vehicle lift to begin our process.

Once the vehicle is in our shop and under the lights we do a thorough paint inspection to find any damage or paint imperfections that need to be addressed prior to installing our Protection options. In this case, lots of dual action sanding marks, rotary holograms, random isolated deep scratches, and minor swirling throughout the whole vehicle. Since this is a factory three layer paintwork, it has changed hands and imperfections attempted to be "fixed" many times throughout the hand-built Ferrari Process. These are all addressed on a case by case basis using the least aggressive methods possible. All trim and delicate areas are masked off for safety. With the machine polishing process complete and all paint imperfections rectified we put the vehicle up on our Car Lift, and proceed with the application of our Paint Protection Film

Prior to application of our Paint Protection Film we start by removing some components such as Badges, Side Marker Lights, etc that are easily removable to achieve a more invisible and seamless installation. When dealing with vehicles of this magnitude, there is a balance of removing components for a seamless installation, and preserving the integrity of the car as we are NOT Ferrari Certified Technicians. We remove what we are comfortable with, and what is easily accessible. However, we do our best to work around these components and install our film in the most seamless manner possible. As shown on this 488 Pista Spider, we removed the Side Marker Lights and Emblems, this allowed us to clean under the lights/emblems to limit debris introduction during installation, as well as allowed us to fully and confidently tuck the film behind these areas. Once the components are reinstalled after Paint Protection Film installation you will never know the film is there, that's how we like it!

Paint Protection Film (Clear Bra) is a 10 Year Warranty Thick Protection Film to act as a sacrificial barrier to shield your paintwork from impacts, rock chips, scratches, swirl marks, and environmental contamination. Paint Protection Film will self-heal light scratches & swirl marks with a light heat application to the film's surface, such as sitting in the sun. Next generation paint protection film formulation will not yellow from UV exposure, ensuring protected areas are nearly invisible. Don't worry about specs, spots, or splotches from contaminants. Paint Protection Film is stain resistant & will maintain clarity under the harshest conditions. Stop rock chips, nicks & scratches in the paint, and keep your vehicle looking as good as the day it rolled off the lot.

The hood of the Ferrari 488 Pista is Protected in a Bulk Sheet of PPF for a true custom cut install that is wrapped over every edge, and extended coverage down into the air duct so it is protected without seeing it!

This Ferrari 488 Pista was optioned with the Carbon Fiber Package, which includes all of the exterior carbon additions. The Front Bumper protection does not stop with the paintwork, there are intricate sections of carbon fiber that also need to be protected. The Front Bumper was installed utilizing a Modified Computer Cut Pattern, we modify these patterns in house to fit our installation style and standards. This Patterns allow us to line up key components that cannot be wrapped without major disassembly like around the grille and vent area, but gives us enough film to wrap and tuck into all exterior edges for further protection and undetectable installation!

With this owners plans to really drive this machine, we opted to do the Full Rear Quarter Panels for increased protection over the rear splash area of the car from what we call "self inflicted wounds". The front tires being sticky racing compound tires, these will constantly fling rocks, debris, and rubber down the side of the vehicle.

Moving onto the rear of the car, something many don't think about it how impacted the underside is by road dirt, rocks, and other particles. With a Carbon Fiber finished underbody, this finish would be destroyed after only a few hundred miles. Each individual section of Carbon Fiber on the Rear Diffuser and Under Section of the car is protected with our Paint Protection Film. A job that requires extreme patience and expertise, and often times overlooked by other installation centers.

After our Paint Protection Film installation is complete and has gone through many Quality Control procedures to ensure the quality meets our standards, the vehicle is pulled out into the sun for final viewing before the owner happily drives away in his newly protected Ferrari! The final result of our Customized Installation technique in combination with Paint Protection Film is a $500,000 Ferrari Pista Spider that is very well protected from its driving, rally, and car show endeavors but YOU'D never know!
